Mercedes Benz For Sale

By Marty Collins

Mercedes Benz is the renowned for being one of the most reputable and most reliable car manufacturers in the industry. Their cars are highly prized, so much so that even if the costs of the cars are way above that of the average vehicle, many people still seek to own one. People, especially fans of the brand, continuously look for the best Mercedes Benz for sale in their respective areas.

The company is also known for some of their cars that have been, or are sold at astronomic prices. One of these is a 1978 Mercedes Benz 280E, which was sold at auction for $36,000, a very high price considering the model and age of the vehicle. Another is the SLR McLaren Roadster which sells, for starters, at around $495,000!

The SLR McLaren Roadster is considered by many to be the most beautiful GT supercar ever built, a rolling work of art and the pinnacle of stye, engineering, and automotive technology. It rockets from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds using its advanced 5.4litre V8 AMG engine, making it one of the fastest production cars ever built. But even with its very high price, the SLR McLaren is Mercedes Benz's most expensive car sold.

The honor of being the most expensive Mercedes Benz vehicle ever purchased is the Mercedes Benz W196, a car with a rich history of racing, having entered the Formula One of 1954 and 1955 and winning 9 out of 12 races. The technology behind the car was derived from the Messerschmitt Bf109 fighter jet, and was one of, if not the most cutting edge car of its time. This car was bought by a French industrialist, for a mind-boggling $24 million, which at the time made it not just the most expensive Mercedes Benz car ever sold, but the most expensive car in the world at the time of its purchase.

So what makes a Mercedes Benz car so valuable? This is because each of the Mercedes car parts have been made to perfection. Each part makes sure that there is a harmonious balance of function, form, and reliability in every car.
